Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
-
What is the best time of day to schedule a photoshoot?
My rule of thumb (and favorite time frame) is two hours after sunrise, or two hours before sunset.
Midday photoshoots will also work for high-contrast stylistic portraits or classic headshots.

What is your pricing?
I describe my price range and typical package for each service I offer in my Services here.
My packages are customizable to your needs. Pricing is primarily based on the length of time, number of final edited pictures, location(s), and type of photoshoot. For more information, check out more about Appointments.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
We all know that things can happen. Please do provide a notice of at least 24 hours if you need to reschedule or cancel your photoshoot.
I will always do my best to accommodate your situation and schedule in these situations.

What if the weather is bad?
Do not fear! We will work to reschedule your photoshoot. For rainy or unfavorable conditions, photoshoots can be rescheduled based on weather at any time, and we will plan another date and time for the near future. Since weather forecasts constantly change, I encourage clients to watch the radar, and contact me if weather seems unpromising about 2 to 3 days out from the photoshoot.
Although it is counterintuitive, photography in overcast and cloudy conditions can often result in soft and beautiful lighting in your shots. Depending on location, I may discourage clients from allowing cloudy conditions to be cause for rescheduling, but ultimately the decision is up to the client.

I have never done a photoshoot before. I’m nervous that I am not photogenic enough.
Everyone looks good on camera; but the secret is to find what works for each client. I am here to help guide you throughout this process. I will help prepare you as best I can before, during, and after your photoshoot. While you’re in front of the camera, I will suggest and guide you through poses that I know look gorgeous.
Each client is different, but I will prompt you as best as I can to make you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera.
